Early 2000s
The Beginning
The roots of Flatstone Designs lie in a small factory where two brothers began by providing contract cutting and polishing services for natural stone and manufacturing stone-polishing materials. This hands-on work built deep technical know-how and an intimate understanding of how stone behaves, performs and finishes in real-world projects.
A Turning Point

As the market became increasingly commoditized and driven by credit-based trade, the founders chose a different path—innovation over volume. A client introduced them to a sample of natural flexible stone veneer, opening the door to a new direction.
